I have just finished watching Charlie Rose’s interview with TED Curator Chris Anderson. As I have discovered recently, Charlie Rose is a well-known American talk show hosted by Charlie Rose himself. I believe the nature of the show is similar to TED, one of my favorite places on the internet.

In the show, Chris Anderson (not to be confused with Chris Anderson of Wired Magazine) explained what TED is all about, the role of TED, and how TED relates to our world.

TED is an annual gathering of the greatest mind on Technology, Entertainment, and Design – but in fact, on almost everything. The New York Times says that it is a place where artists and inventors plot to save the world. There, you’ll find talks by the foremost thinkers, leaders, and pioneers in our world today – Steven Pinker, Richard Dawkins, and many others. Luckily, most TED Talks can be watched online (the cost of attending is USD$6000 and only by invitation =\ ).

I’m always inspired by TEDTalks since I always get to listen to ideas that explode like fireworks. Being a curator of TED is certainly one of the many dream jobs I would love to have. =)
